Many of our instructors perform locally and abroad, playing gigs throughout Canada and the U.S. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them.
We pride ourselves on finding the right instructor to meet your needs.
3. A proven track record of success since 1970!
Visit our testimonial page to see what our students are saying. Lowe’s School of Music Toronto has a proven track record of offering quality music instruction for piano, guitar, voice, drums, violin and woodwinds to Toronto and the GTA since 1970! Our full time mission is teaching music lessons that will help you achieve your goals and aspirations.
4. A comfortable and inviting learning environment
We provide our clients with free wi-fi, magazines and a kid’s corner for drawing and colouring while you wait. All of our studios feature an observation window or if you prefer, you may sit in on their lesson at any time.
5. Exciting performance opportunities with 2 free music recitals and our annual Open mic showcase!
Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way to know if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital. In May and December many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals.
We also hold an annual Open Mic Showcase event as part of our very popular summer camp programs, which is open to all students, as well as our summer camp performers.
Our 2 recitals and Open Mic Showcase are free to all participants and spectators.
6. Trophies, certificates and wristbands to celebrate achievement!
We are one of the only schools in Toronto that gives their students the opportunity to earn special colour wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer certificates and trophies? A few, but none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full colour, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends.
Most importantly, when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud and everybody wins!
7. Flexible scheduling.
We work hard to accommodate your busy schedule. Lessons are offered from 2:00pm – 9:00pm during the week, and from 10:00am – 4:00pm on Saturdays.
8. Conveniently located in the Junction.
Our school is conveniently located in the famous Junction neighbourhood of West Toronto, minutes away from High Park and Bloor West village communities. Close to our school you will find many great shops, cafes, restaurants and other attractions.
9. Picture Day!
Say Cheese! We are one of the only schools in West Toronto that offers a picture day for their students. Every April we host a free picture day with professional photographer Gillian Foster Photography. Our students’ parents love this service, as they all want high quality photos of their children. Adult students are welcome too! Students are encouraged to bring their instruments to the photo shoot, and wear whatever they’d like!
10. Month-to-Month Lessons
Unlike many schools, Lowe’s school of music Toronto offers lessons on a month to month basis for our students. Our school does not require semester minimums or yearly registration fees.
11. Monthly Newsletter
Maintaining a consistent channel of communication with our students/parents is a priority at Lowes School of Music. Our monthly newsletter provides our students and their parents with information on upcoming events, Musical Ladder award recipients, special contests and our student of the month.
If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.
